Jezmina is both a professional poet and life-long witch — with this offering, they'll share their favorite exercises to summon and hone a poetic spell. Together, we'll weave our way through the history of spells as poetry, stopping along the way to answer writing prompts as we concoct our own witchy verses. By the end of the class, you'll have a draft of a spell, and an opportunity to work with your poem in guided ritual. You don't need to be a seasoned poet to take this class, but it's helpful if you already have your own established magical practice!

Jezmina Von Thiele (they/she) is a writer, educator, and fortune teller in their mixed Romani tradition, dealing in tarot, palms, and tea leaves. They have poetry, fiction, and non-fiction published in Narrative Magazine, Prairie Schooner, and other journals under the name Jessica Reidy. They are a co-host of Romanistan podcast alongside Paulina Verminski, and they discuss Roma, roots, and rebels, and sometimes witchy topics too.
